Q. Why unhealthy margarine instead of butter?
A. It depends upon the product you select. Brummel & Brown, for example, is a
light margarine that works well in recipes and is lower in calories and fat compared to regular margarine
or butter.
Also, some margarine products, including Brummel & Brown and Smart Balance, are trans fats
free. Trans fats are often a concern with some margarines so it important to check the label.
Butter will contain more saturated fat compared to margarine.
Moderation is key when using fats though. Calories can add up fast. A
little goes a long way.
